Our inaugural event The Art of Leadership for Women was a huge success in Toronto on May 29, 2014. Hosted by Wendy Mesley, award winning broadcast journalist and host of CBC's The National, this day brought an exciting blend of cutting edge thinking and real world experience on today’s most critical leadership issues.

Erica Ariel Fox, bestselling author of Winning From Within started off the day at The Art of Leadership for Women, first with a beautiful song to honor Maya Angelou followed by great insights on personal performance:

Katty Kay, bestselling author of The Confidence Code: The Science and Art of Self-Assurance—What Women Should Know took the stage next. Katty had an amazing on-stage presence. She gave multiple insights on how to gain confidence as a woman and marshaled evidence from employers large and small to show how to satisfy the demands of family and career:

The highly anticipated Martha Stewart took the stage next to participate in a Q&A session with Wendy Mesley. Her confidence was key to an amazing presentation. Martha educated the audience from her personal life and entreprenurial experience. She gave multiple insights to inspire today’s women to reach higher and achieve more:

Unfortunately Martha was unable to cook lunch for all of us, but following the break our exclusive Executive Panel was next to take the stage. Wendy Mesley mediated the quality conversation contributions by the following business leaders:

Liane Davey of Knightsbridge spoke next on her bestselling book, “You First: Make a Bigger Impact on Your Team”. Liane’s insights were well received by all of the guests at The Art of Leadership for Women as she provided many key takeaways on how to work more cohesively as a team:

There was much excitement around Hayley Wickenheiser, four-time Olympic gold medalist taking the stage to share her stories from the road to the Sochi 2014 Olympics. Hayley’s insights on leadership were amazing and heartfelt as she educated on personal experience:

In conclusion, The Art of Leadership for Women Presented by Microsoft was a success.

With over 1,800 of Canada’s most influential women attending the competitive advantage of networking took over. With plenty of insights and ideas brought on by six internationally renowned bestselling authors the takeaways from this event were priceless:
